A major step in housing upkeep, Choice has awarded a £130m contract to Choice Services (Ireland) for Responsive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Void Property Works, and Adaptation Works across Belfast. This investment ensures a proactive approach to property maintenance, focusing on keeping housing stock in optimal condition through reactive repairs, refurbishments, and long-term asset management. Accelerating property turnaround and ensuring tenant-ready homes, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council has awarded Axis Europe a £2.6m, 36-month contract for voids and disrepair works. As a call-off from the PfH Responsive Repairs and Void Property Services Framework, this contract prioritizes rapid refurbishment of vacant properties, minimizing downtime and ensuring homes meet health, safety, and compliance standards. The contractor will also address disrepair issues swiftly, maintaining habitable conditions and preventing costly escalations.

With a firm commitment to enhancing fire safety and regulatory compliance, CHIC Limited has awarded its £500m, 48-month Fire & Building Safety Framework (2024-2028) to multiple contractors, enhancing fire safety compliance across UK social housing. 74 various Contractors will lead fire door installations, compartmentation, alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, smoke control, and CCTV solutions. 43 various Contractors will manage fire suppression, electrical fire safety, firefighting evacuation systems, and security access solutions, ensuring compliance and risk reduction. 39 various Contractors will provide facade engineering, fire risk assessments, fire door inspections, and waking watch services. Expanding critical infrastructure, the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) has awarded a £1bn, 48-month Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Framework to 34 various Contractors. This multi-lot framework, structured by project value and region, supports infrastructure, road improvements, drainage, flood resilience, and public realm works. Essential for enabling housing developments, site preparation, and structural enhancements, the framework ensures long-term investment in building sustainable communities.

Driving residential development, Darlington Borough Council has awarded Esh Homes a £300m, 24-month Joint Venture Residential Development Framework. This agreement will facilitate the delivery of new housing projects, supporting local authority housing expansion initiatives. Supporting affordable housing expansion, Fife Council has partnered with Ogilvie Homes on a £4m, 18-month contract to design and construct 18 new homes in Cairneyhill under Section 75 Planning obligations, ensuring sustainable and accessible housing solutions. Enhancing void property utilization, Greenwich London Borough has awarded a £3m, 24-month contract to ATPB, Hennessy, and Max Building Services for void extensions and associated refurbishment works, helping bring vacant properties back into use efficiently.

Ensuring continued housing maintenance, Peabody Trust has appointed Huws Gray for a £20m, 60-month contract to supply building materials and associated services across its direct labor organisations (DLOs), CPS, PGM, and the wider Peabody Group, supporting ongoing repair and maintenance efforts. Clearing space for regeneration, Liverpool City Council has awarded Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure a £1.2m, 6-month contract for Paddington South Demolition Works, preparing the site for future redevelopment following a design and build contract award.
