Meanwhile, Cross Keys Homes has extended its existing repairs and maintenance contract with Mears by an additional 12 months, raising the total value to £25m. This extension ensures continuity in reactive repairs and maintenance services while a new long-term procurement process is finalized.

In heating services, Orbit Group has appointed Sureserve Compliance Central for a £35.3m, 60-month contract covering the servicing, maintenance, and installation of heating and hot water systems across its domestic and commercial properties in the East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, London, and the South East. The contract includes natural gas, LPG, oil-fueled heating systems, vented and unvented cylinders, as well as reactive repairs and planned preventive maintenance under a 24/7 service model. Additionally, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has awarded The Dwelling Doctors a £4.1m, 48-month contract for mould eradication and condensation treatment across its housing stock. The project includes tenant liaison, inspections, remedial works, and compliance with Awaab’s Law, ensuring safe and healthy living conditions.

Southampton City Council has appointed Freeston Water Treatment for a £3.3m contract to provide water quality monitoring and analytical services over the next five years, with an extension option up to 10 years. This project will ensure compliance with UKAS standards and health and safety regulations, improving water safety across the city. Meanwhile, Kingdom Housing Association Ltd. has awarded a £4.1m, 15-month contract to Campion Homes for the acquisition and development of new affordable homes in Fife. This contract was awarded through a negotiated procedure, as the developer owned the site and required exclusive rights for the construction.
