Reaffirming commitment to housing repairs, the City of London has awarded a substantial £14.31m, 60-month contract to Chigwell London for responsive repairs, void property works, out-of-hours services, and electrical maintenance across its housing estates, including the Barbican. The contract is split across two lots covering general housing stock and the Barbican Estate, ensuring long-term structural integrity and tenant services. Supporting retrofit ambitions, City of Doncaster Council appointed Sustainable Building Services to deliver thermal efficiency works under a £12m, 36-month call-off agreement. The project will supplement existing retrofit delivery to maximise available grant funding and improve energy performance across council stock. Enhancing mobility for vulnerable residents, Durham County Council has established a 24-month £3.2m framework with TK Access Solutions for the survey, supply, installation, and maintenance of stairlifts and associated adaptations in domestic settings. A second, 24-month £350k, framework has also been awarded to Terry Group and TK Access Solutions for external platform lifts, further expanding accessible living support.

Expanding housing capacity, Hackney London Borough has awarded Countryside Properties (UK) a £1.61m, 12-month contract for pre-construction services and landscaping for the Fairbank Estate mixed-tenure housing development. The scheme includes new builds and public realm improvements in Hoxton West. Driving energy performance and stock improvements, Colchester Borough Council selected Re-Gen (UK) Construction for a £1.17m refurbishment contract across acquired properties. The 12-month scheme supports EPC upgrades and housing condition improvements. Safeguarding fire compliance, Southampton City Council has engaged Harmony Fire under a £2.18m, 24-month contract for the servicing, maintenance, and periodic testing of fire sprinkler systems, supporting CHIC’s Fire and Building Safety Framework.

Targeting healthier indoor environments, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council awarded a 1-month £1.19m contract to Houghton & Son for decommissioning communal ventilation and installing individual systems in four tower blocks—a swift upgrade aligned with modern air quality standards. To address ventilation system upkeep, Lewisham London Borough selected Ductclean (UK) for a £178k, 12-month contract for the repair and maintenance of plant and controls, supporting ongoing mechanical compliance. Delivering efficient waste solutions, Wolverhampton Homes has appointed Kenny Waste Management to a 36-month, £2.49m contract covering skip hire, waste transfer, asbestos disposal, and kerbside collections. The holistic contract supports domestic housing and capital works across 22,000 managed properties. In Southend, HighView Roofing secured a £6.36m, 48-month contract to deliver roof renewals and high-level works, addressing structural envelope conditions across The Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s housing stock. Finally, Kirklees Council issued multiple 5-month roofing contracts valued at £2.3m each, awarded to Jennings Roofing and ACS Roofing Services, covering pitched roofing schemes across four estates—Soothill, Garden Estate, Cottage Homes, and Skelmanthorpe—under the KMCHNPS-015 Framework.
