Bury Council-
At a time of rising energy prices, Bury Council has locked in a £9.4m, four-year gas supply contract with Corona Energy to ensure stable, cost-effective energy for public buildings and council properties.
With an option to extend until 2033, this long-term deal is a smart move to safeguard against energy market fluctuations, keeping services running smoothly while maintaining affordable operational costs.

Cardiff Council-
Cardiff is pushing ahead with the Channel View Regeneration Project, awarding major contracts to Wates to kickstart a massive housing transformation. The development includes construction, enabling works, all set to deliver high-quality, sustainable homes. With a reserved matters planning application in the pipeline, this landmark project is set to revitalise the community, providing modern, energy-efficient homes while shaping the future of affordable urban living in Wales.

Dartford Borough Council-
Big changes are coming to Dartford. The council has secured £3.86m in Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding to revamp Spital Street, Hythe Street, and key road junctions. This is part of the Town Centre Regeneration (DTCR) Project, designed to boost the local economy, improve transport links, and modernise infrastructure.
With smarter urban planning, high street revitalisation, and better connectivity, Dartford is on track to become a thriving, future-ready town-perfect for businesses, residents, and visitors alike.

Gravesham Borough Council-
Gravesham is taking bold steps towards greener, cost-effective housing with a £6.5m Warm Homes Social Housing Fund (WH:SHF) Wave 3 bid.
The goal? Upgrade 300 homes with air source heat pumps, solar panels, and power diverters, slashing 406.09 tonnes of Carbon emissions annually and saving tenants a whopping £195,606 in energy bills. If successful, this bid will transform outdated homes into sustainable, high-efficiency living spaces, tackling fuel poverty while making social housing warmer, cheaper, and future-ready.

Havering Council-
Havering is making big moves in housing safety and energy efficiency, investing in essential upgrades:
● £610K Lift Upgrades at Highfield Towers and Petra Estate for better safety and accessibility.
● £7m Windows & Doors Replacement with Equans Regeneration Ltd, boosting insulation, fire safety, and energy efficiency.
● £85K Disabled Resident Home Adaptation, funding a two-bedroom extension to improve independent living.
These projects make Havering’s social housing safer, greener, and more comfortable, setting new standards for affordable and sustainable homes.

Islington Council-
Islington is investing heavily in sustainable housing, approving:
● £45m Harvist Estate Retrofit to modernise 441 homes with cladding, insulation, fire safety, and low-carbon heating.
● £1.2m contract with Vital Energi for the Bunhill Heat & Power Network, a low-carbon energy system serving thousands of homes.
● Lift modernisation projects across Peregrine House, Pleydell Estate, Pollard Close, Sickert Estate, and Ilex House to enhance housing safety and accessibility.

South Kesteven District Council-
Big changes are coming for South Kesteven’s council homes.
A £1.5m annual roofing contract has been awarded to Foster Property Maintenance Ltd to replace aging roofs, boosting energy efficiency and reducing heating costs for tenants. But that’s not all-accessibility is getting a major upgrade too.
A £120K yearly contract with EMS Lifts Ltd will provide stairlifts, step lifts, and modular ramps, making homes safer and more accessible. These improvements mark a huge step forward for quality, comfort, and sustainability in social housing.
